About Lily Sisterhood (Lily)
At Lily Sisterhood Girls Mentoring we believe in the transformative power and unlimited potential of young women. We are committed to supporting the positive socio-emotional, academic, critical-thinking, self-awareness, and self-confidence of young girls and women engaged in our programming.
Our mission is to foster the development of critical thinkers and create in them positive self-images and positive self-esteem. Our pilot cohort of girls – Lily Sisterhood@ Brookland – began in Fall 2017 in partnership with DC Public Schools’ Brookland Middle School and expanded to include community-based programming in 2021.
Today, Lily Sisterhood delivers interactive and supportive programming in partnership with local schools and the greater Prince George’s County community that engages young girls in social, emotional and intellectual development.
