Your incredible support this Summer made a profound difference in the lives of 123 students. We are so grateful for your generosity, which. enabled our program to actively engage young people in exciting and enriching STEAM learning activities during the month of July.
During a time when many organizations are facing funding cuts, your commitment allowed us to close the gap on summer learning loss for these students. Your contribution created a safe and engaging environment where young minds could flourish, discover new passions, and gain confidence. The Dream, Design, Discover: STEAM Explorer Summer Academy
During the Summer more than 120 scholars attended the Summer Academy held in July on Mondays to Thursdays from 9 am-5 pm (sometimes longer if time escaped them!)
- 123 registered students
- 28 students had 100% attendance
- 15 students had 95% attendance
- 8 students had 90% attendance
- 6 students had 85% attendance
- 100% Club 28 Students (10 Students from Greenbelt and William Wirt Middle Schools and 8 Students from G. James Gholson Middle School)
From a student-“I didn’t want to come to Summer Academy at first. I am glad I came. I had fun, went to new places, met new people and won prizes. I really had a good Summer, I wish Summer Academy was every day.”
