In 2025, Community Youth Advance (CYA) proudly celebrates 20 years of empowering and transforming the lives of youth across Prince George’s County and Washington, D.C. Our anniversary theme—“20/20 Vision: Reflecting on the Past. Empowering the Present. Inspiring the Future.”—calls us to honor our journey while boldly investing in what’s next.
The Unleashing Brilliance Gala will be an unforgettable evening of celebration, community, and purpose. Guests will enjoy a networking reception, seated dinner, live entertainment, and powerful stories from the students, mentors, families, and partners who embody CYA’s mission to Teach. Reach. Keep.
Since our founding in 2005, CYA has supported over 2,000 students through high-quality academic programming, one-on-one mentoring, STEAM-based enrichment, and college and career readiness support. From extended-day learning to summer intensives and weekend workshops, we have remained committed to equipping youth in grades 6–12 with the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Our 2025 fundraising goal is $200,000, which will help us expand our reach, enhance our programming, and inspire the next generation of leaders. By attending the Gala or making a donation, you are investing in brighter futures and helping to unleash brilliance in every student we serve.
