We are #PGCPSproud and #PGCPSsafe

Dear CYA Family and Friends,

On Wednesday July 15, 2020 Prince George’s County Public Schools CEO Dr. Monica Goldson announced PGCPS plans for distance learning to begin the 2020-2021 school year.

I’m writing today to let you know that we stand with Dr. Goldson, PGCPS administrators, parents and teachers in the desire to keep our students safe while providing quality academic support and enrichment.

Our programs began the transition to virtual in April 2020 and we took those successes and challenges into account to plan our 100% virtual summer programming, currently serving nearly 400 youth in Prince George’s County.

We will continue to innovate, grow and expand our ability to support students virtually with enrichment, personal tutoring, mentoring and family support.

We’re excited to partner with PGCPS, our school sites, and the hundreds of students from across the county who participate in our programs. Though the 2020-2021 school year will look a bit different, our commitment to supporting student success will stay the same!

Thank you for being part of the CYA family and we look forward to working with you all as we continue to TeachReach and Keep youth on the path to success.

Continue to be safe, wear your mask, and practice social distancing.

Sincerely,

Danielle M. Middlebrooks
